"There is a little creek the gently flows into the Estuary and a small old boat that is moored up against the bank side. I could always imagine an old fisherman preparing his boat just before he went out to fish or tending his catch on his return.
I wanted the finished work to look old, as if it was created by the artist on the day capturing the atmosphere and conditions of that moment. The Wind was brisk and blowing easterly down the estuary whipping up the waves so they would catch the sunlight in the background. The clouds were briskly pushing across the sky and catching the different colours that were reflecting back from the waters below".
